and I still need to feel a wreck - without my phone

even tho' they shaped my brain - I'm still a fool
if they multiply my errors - that's not cool
I still need to see the mess
thru' this idiotic helplessness - without the tools

Lost at the sea
with my feet hanging low
All the eye gets to see - or remember
(are the) trees in the cloud
while the roots look for flow
and can't find their way out - in the chamber

I'm not my watch
when I see the rates of change - or make a notch
to pretend I've won the game - when I have not
when in fact the game goes on
and it won't stop when I am gone - without my watch
