about

Previously published in archive.org/details/ImNotMyPhone where there's one other tune.

If you can replace tracks with your own, or mix this properly, just ask me for the 4 raw tracks (guitarlele chords, guitarlele lead, voice, bass guitar).

lyrics

I'm not my phone
tho' I introduced my data - I'm alone
tho' I linked to some good pages - I'm not done
I still need to clear the decks
and I still need to feel a wreck - without my phone

I'm not my tools
even tho' they shaped my brain - I'm still a fool
if they multiply my errors - that's not cool
I still need to see the mess
thru' this idiotic helplessness - without the tools

Lost at the sea
with my feet hanging low
All the eye gets to see - or remember
(are the) trees in the cloud
while the roots look for flow
and can't find their way out - in the chamber

I'm not my watch
when I see the rates of change - or make a notch
to pretend I've won the game - when I have not
when in fact the game goes on
and it won't stop when I am gone - without my watch

I'm happy
without my phone

about

lugon Scotland, UK

I started playing guitar at maybe 14 years old. I liked some of my own mistakes and called them songs. I've been fooling around with tech for too long. It's time to #JustSitAndPlay and do #Sillyrics.
